She holds both the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certifications.

Title: Introduction to Inhalation Exposure Modeling

Abstract: Inhalation exposure modeling is a critical tool for the practicing OEHS professional and is a primary exposure assessment methodology for scenarios where measurements cannot be collected, where high-throughput analysis is needed, or for emergency response planning. This introductory-level session will provide information on the purpose of exposure modeling, how modeling can be utilized to estimate inhalation exposures, and the strengths and weaknesses of modeling as a tool. Attendees will learn where to find exposure modeling resources such as the AIHA Mathematical Modeling textbook, AIHA Risk Assessment Tools page, and other resources. Instruction will be provided on selection of exposure models using a tiered approach recommended by various professional groups and agencies. A brief overview of model input parameter selection methods will be performed using the IHMOD 2.0 tool as an example modeling tool. The session will conclude with a case study.
